Executive Search


Renate M. Mueller conducts Executive Searches on an exclusive retained basis on behalf of major insurers, insurance brokerages, MGAs and independent adjusting firms for directors, presidents, CEO/COOs and other senior executives. During the last 12 years AMAC was involved in over 60 Executive Searches on a national basis.

The Search Process

  1. Prospective candidates are identified through Renate M. Mueller’s extensive industry network of contacts.
  2. Potential candidates are interviewed and preliminary reference checks completed.
  3. A long list of potential candidates is presented and reviewed with the Search Committee. The qualifications of the candidates presented are documented by:
    • Resumes
    • Notes from in-depth personal interviews
    • Completion of a Selection Criteria Grid by the candidates
  4. A short list of candidates is agreed upon with the Search Committee.
  5. All of the short listed candidates are invited to meet with the Search Committee
  6. One or two candidates are selected by the Search Committee.
  7. In-depth reference checks and a management assessment are conducted.
  8. An offer is prepared and presented to the leading candidate.
  9. Final terms and conditions of an employment contract are negotiated with the successful candidate.
